an intitiative for zines for change
What do we want?
– we want to make fully colored zines and are working on structures to realize this in an solidarity-manner.
– this means organising redistribution of small amounts or bigger amounts of funds from individuals
and organisations supporting animal, human and earth liberation (total liberation).
– we want to collaborate with bookshops and anarchist libraries, collectives and distros
the idea
.. every zine maker knows, full color would be so amazing sometimes. but it’s just not feasible, cause money. we are trying to create solidarity based structure and mechanisms of distribution. we believe in good ideas and nice people solidarity ???? the most amazin thing woudl be if we could colaborate with organisations/institutions doing sustainable, ecofriendly printing or radical printing collectives, taking total liberation mindset into account.

activism and total liberation at some point mixed in their passion for image based storytelling.
during their studies, no hopes for any market or career developed, on the contrary. questions arose, like what to do with art studies? is it that people get more political, more radical, less artsy/art? mx sprout believes in the mutual dependency of both. art must be political – and art is political. (or can be? no claims for what art is, only beliefs in change and the various ways it can be initialized).
what’s next? what’s the status quo?
first thing to come are zines around animal liberation and the practices of looking.
A sadly very neglected topic in the whole animal liberation movement, the zines circle around our cognitive dissonances and our limitied view on the amazing persons living underwater.

Eine Initative für Zines zum und für Umbruch!
Wir wollen vollfarbige Zines machen! Und dabei blöden Herrschaftsstrukturen der Welt so gut wie geht umgraben.
Die Idee ist die: Spenden und Geld von Orgas und Individualpersonen erfragen/kriegen, um dann das Zeug drucken zu lassen – am besten ‘klimaneutral’, so Zusammenarbeit stärken und dann die Zines auch zu einem normalen Preis oder auch for free an Leute weitergeben, die sie weiterverbreiten – und somit den Gedanken von Total Liberation unterstützen.

Jede Person, die Zines macht, weiß wie schwierig und teuer es ist, die auch in Farbe zu machen. Wo ein Wille ist, da ist hier auch manchmal ein Weg. Aber der könnte auch einfacher sein. KEine namen, keine strukturen, aber dennoch hoffen wir, irgendwann eine gute struktur geschaffen zu haben. Darum glauben wir auch in Solidarität und gute Ideen ????
Die Idee kam Mx Sprout im August 2019.
Aktivismus und Total Liberation haben sich irgendwann, langsam und sicher, in x Vorliebe für das Erzählen von Geschichten mit Bildern reingemischt.
Während dem Studium von x haben sich keine Hoffnungen für große Karrieren, weder geld-mäßig noch im Kunst-Business aufgetan. Was macht mensch denn mit so nem Kunst-Studium? Und ist es weniger Kunst, wenn es mehr radikal ist? Ist Aktivismus nur keine Kunst, weil er zu politisch ist? Fragen über fragen, aber X glaubt an die gegenseitige Abhängigkeit beider. Kusnt muss politisch sein – und ist auch per se ein politisches Medium, sobald es veröffentlicht wird. Was es ist, kann x euch auch nicht sagen, aber dass es Veränderung bewirken kann, in unterschiedlichsten Formen, daran glauben wir!
Die ersten Publikation drehen sich um die Befreiung von nicht-menschlichen Tieren; und auch darum, wie sich unsere Wahrnehmung auf unseren Blick über sie auswirkt, uns beeinflusst. Es geht dann vor allem um Personen, die im Meer leben.
Das Projekt steht noch ganz am Anfang, deswegen wir freuen uns auf euren Support, Nachrichten, Ideen und Feedback ????
